Weekend reading, a question and a video
You are always in our minds
Yes, this week, we have been discussing User Experience.
The starting point was our ‘personas’ and ‘use-cases’. We have imagined some independent Artists with different self-management needs, like Miguel Angel, CosmiK, pianoMAN and GM. Moreover, we have imagined some Art-users again with different needs, like Alice the NFTs collector, arteNOVA, arteCAFÉ, and DreamArts. You can read about them in The Smartists Blog.
We have a few more personas and use-cases to work on, and we will soon be back to our 1-1 meetings with our pioneer-users to bring some improvements to the present mvp on Testnet.
Yet, we would like to hear from you and know what are your actual expectations about Smartists. So, here is…
Our question
What is the problem you have as an artist or art-user on the web, that you think Smartists could help you solve?
Of course this question is addressed to artists who want to improve their experiences when coming to the web. You can answer the question in this private form **.
Although we might not be able to deliver on all your expectations, your answers can show us the way to improve what we are building, as well as to look for future solutions for you.
** To get the most sincere answers, the form to explain your case is anonymous thanks to BlockSurvey, which provides the answers end-to-end encrypted (providing an email for contact is only optional).
A video
Every week I intend to bring the voice of a creator who wants to overcome the limitations and downsides of web2.0, simply because the web3 solutions we are building are much better for individual authors-artists who want to preserve their rights and independence on the web.
This time, after a week full of news from so many fields, I wanted to bring focus and a call to keeping calm and escaping from the constant triggers coming from the “surveillant computer you carry in your pocket” (this is how a hacker friend used to define the mobile phone). Listen to Cal Newport, an author writing about technology who explains The perks of living without social media.
The last two weeks I shared videos from visual artists. So, next week I may bring the voice of a musician. At Smartists we want to connect with all kind of artists who are independent and want to self-manage, and who want to connect with their clients directly in a more meaningful way. It’s all about decentralisation and improving the quality of human relationships on the web.
Thank you for opening and reading these lines.
Have a nice Sunday and week ahead!
