The voice of Self-managed Artists on the web3
In this Q1 we are taking time to listen attentively to self-managed artists. And today with this newsletter I want to introduce some members of our Smartists community and the projects they are currently involved in.
I am grateful to those who have kindly answered my questions, in my blog “An author on the web3” / Una autora en la web3, where the articles were first published. Now, I am taking these “interviews” to The Smartists Blog.
Daniel Orsen… on the web3
Here is a classical musician, DANIEL ORSEN, who is about to launch his first NFT collection on his own website. Daniel is interested in this technology as a means of distribution for the elaborate and very unique projects, which are rooted in his experiences in the real world, playing the viola professionally.
While reading his answers to my questions as an artist on the web3, his remarks about the relationship with his real audience and colleagues sounded very refreshing. So, Daniel brings us the voice of those who want to benefit from progress, but keep loyal to what is essential in art. This is what he is doing along with pianist Pierre-Nicolas Colombat for his project: Wagner’s Nightmare.
Moreover, I am proud to announce that Daniel Orsen made us a very special and generous proposal.
If anyone in the Smartists community or anyone reading this would like to be on the Whitelist for the Wagner’s Nightmare LDA, please email your names to the address for an Ethereum compatible wallet to colombatorsen@wagnersnightmare.com. The Whitelist mint will be on Wednesday, February 15, and will be approximately $25 USD, which is $10 less than the general mint.
Kailani… on the web3
Here is an author and songwriter with a very special story to tell, or better, with a whole world of experiences built form untold stories… Reading her answers you can’t help admiring her natural honesty as an artist. Plus, there is a lot to learn from her thorough experience on the web3, building her community and taking so many new creative ways! I am deeply grateful and honoured to bring her voice here.
Last but not least
I am well aware that some of our Smartists members keep producing great work and are really active, and we want to bring to this newsletter some of our members’ news from the real world in connection with what they take to the web.
I recently learned that Grace Hye is participating in the great annual event in Paris Art Capital -from 15 to 19 February-. She is also working on a project called Four Seasons in collaboration with another of our members, Manuel Gimferrer. This is an NFTs project, initially, but both artists are using techniques rooted in the real world, using technological tools just in part of the process. This allows them to consider introducing their digital collectibles via different kind of experiences, and we are looking forward to know more about all this… Actually we are trying to keep track in Discord, #studios channel.
Now, if you are a member of our community and you want to share your journey on the web3 in an interview, or your art activities in the real world in this newsletter, contact me here or dm me in Discord.
All the best!
