Discover more from Artists ON THE WEB3
Hello! We hope these lines find you well…
As we progress with Smartists, here you have some lines from our Terms of Service that show you how we understand and bring to life ownership on the web 3. We are addressing artists-authors and we want to make crystal clear that Intellectual Property with all the copyrights remain under their control.
…
Your Content, Your Copyrights.
USERS RETAIN ALL THEIR COPYRIGHTS RELATED TO ANY CONTENT SHOWCASED OR FOR SALE IN THEIR PRIVATE STUDIOS AND GALLERIES.
Self-managed creators are solely responsible for the content they showcase, sell and license. Any ART-NFT creator on Smartists declares to be the copyrights holder whenever selling and licensing an ART-NFT from their own Private Gallery.
Creative art users who buy an ART-NFT in a Private Gallery on Smartists are purchasing genuine pieces, which they can use according to the terms of the license provided by the copyrights holder and creator of the ART-NFT. Buyers/Licensees are solely responsible for complying with the rights they are granted when buying an ART-NFT, respecting the limits and conditions every license includes.
Smartists has no access and cannot touch any content. Smartists does not claim any copyrights license from you (unlike other platforms). Smartists provides artists the technology to certificate their creations, but does not manage any copyrights neither is liable in any copyrights dispute concerning users’ assets.

These terms are still in progress at this moment, under the supervision of our legal team, but we felt ready to share this. It just makes sense to count on our community to make the most sounded decisions while we progress in our mission, so we want to hear your opinion as we explained in our last newsletter.
Therefore, comment here or send us an email to hello@smartists.net if you want to share your thoughts or want more information.
This email is sent only to the subscribers of Smartists, but we want you to feel free to share this newsletter with anyone who might be genuinely interested, as we want to grow our community.
Thank you for reading and for your feedback.
