Our exploration continues in absolutely uncertain times. We do not know what lies ahead, and we assume the risk with sportsmanship, but with prudence. This newsletter is written today from Spain, in a dangerously inefficient Europe at a time when technology has made efficiency the central criterion of what they call “progress”... at Smartists we remain serene and stoic, remembering Kipling.
Independent artists can self-protect ourselves well because we have our own unique resources and self-regenerating sources. Therefore, we cannot be easily substituted: it is one thing to make “rehashes” of images and sounds already produced, and another to create artistic experiences that collect and express human life in all its depth. From Mirlo Studio we see it every day, and Georgina Mauriño told us so in a recent post on her LinkedIn (you can read it here).
Fortunately, we are laying the groundwork for exchanging value directly with each other using the Internet of Value tools: tokenization* and Bitcoin.
In the coming months we are going to see many changes in the world. We will have to fasten our seat belts, and look for a quiet and protected place to stay in touch with our friends. We will keep you posted as we can. Fortunately Spring is slowly creeping in, and the Renaissance we hope for will come sooner than we imagine.
👋 Mirlo from Mirlo Studio
