Dear friends,
We welcome a new season and we re-connect with the FOUR SEASONS project which is pioneering news experiences for Artists and Collectors.
Both Artists behind the creation of these artworks -Grace Hye for the visuals and Manuel Gimferrer for the music- have an actual passion for Art in real life. They have had a wonderful training as well as great professional experiences in their fields. Grace Hye has her permanent exhibition at Gallery Nouvelle in Paris and she also participates in many Salons and Exhibitions. Manuel Gimferrer is playing in chamber music concerts as a pianist (solo or with other musicians), and he is also taking his first steps as a conductor.
Grace and Manuel both want to touch their collectors and audiences with their creations to genuinely connect with them, wherever they are, and connecting on the web3 in a P2P way is a new opportunity they could not miss. This is a common ground that explains how this collaborative project got started on Stacks, the community where they first met.
“The Winter” is an ink on paper artwork that Grace made after listening to the composition by Manuel… She also asked her community on Discord about some words that represented Winter, and like for Manuel cold and Christmas were recurrent as well as some special food. Georgina Mauriño interviewed them both, and Grace confessed this wasn’t a season she especially likes, although she loved the family times it provided. Moreover, about her artwork she explained:
“Manuel's winter music gives the feeling of a snowstorm blowing wildly at the beginning, and the part borrowing the melody of Jingle Bells in the middle is very impressive. The melody after this gives the feeling that a rough snowstorm has passed and a quiet night has arrived. Snow is still falling quietly… The image that goes well with his music immediately came to mind with Cotton Flowers.
Moreover, I thought it would be even better if it harmonized with Grace Hye's signature flower, the dandelion. And finally, I thought it would be suitable to reveal a subtle color with light purple and gray.”

On his side Manuel explained that he composed this piece in different versions -piano solo, two pianos, piano and viola, piano viola and celo…- and that:
“Depending on the version you hear, there are several quotes in the Winter. The most obvious one is Vivaldi’s « Winter » from his Four Seasons. It is set on top of « The Cold Song », by Henry Purcell, another Baroque genius composer. I also have included a quote from Massenet’s ‘Werther’, where a bunch of kids anticipate the arrival of Christmas by singing « Noël ! Noël ! »”.

Grace Hye took her original work in ink, and once digitized, she explored the possibilities of AI animation to create the original digital art piece. This was finally minted a few days ago, and it will remain forever in the FOUR SEASONS Foundation. You can already see it here —>
Then, twelve different pieces were created also dividing the music piece in several fragments, and the 12 NFTs have just been minted, You can follow the launch for their sale in Grace’s Discord.
By the way, collectors of “The Fall” -the previous series of the FOUR SEASONS collection- will get an important discount. Furthermore, collectors will get exclusive access to the private channel at Grace’s Discord where some special features are shared, including the link the token-gated scores for download, only available for these NFTs owners.
Since we know that Grace and Manuel have some other surprises for the upcoming seasons, we are looking forward to seeing how every one of them unfolds, and we will be happy to bring their news here.
Have a nice time!
